NeuroAffective Touch ®
This approach views the body as key to healing when words alone aren’t enough.
What Is NeuroAffective Touch®?
NeuroAffective Touch® (NATouch™) is an advanced somatic training designed for psychotherapists and bodyworkers who want to integrate the healing power of touch into their clinical work. This approach recognizes the body as an essential partner in emotional and psychological healing—especially when verbal methods alone are not enough.

Grounded in polyvagal theory and informed by a psychobiological perspective, NeuroAffective Touch® weaves together elements of somatic psychotherapy, developmental and attachment theory, psychodynamic principles, and interpersonal neurobiology.

Through a structured, progressive curriculum, the training helps psychotherapists build confidence in applying body-centered interventions within their therapeutic framework. It also equips bodyworkers with the verbal and psychological tools needed to help clients make meaningful connections between their physiological states and their emotional stories.

NeuroAffective Touch® offers a deeply integrative path to healing, where body and mind meet to support lasting transformation.

How NeuroAffective Touch® Supports Healing from Developmental Trauma?
NeuroAffective Touch® helps individuals heal from developmental trauma by addressing the missing early-life experiences of connection, support, attunement, and nurturing—often absent in nonverbal or preverbal stages. This integrative, somatic approach fosters a deep, body-based sense of trust and comfort. By reconnecting clients with these foundational sensations, sessions support the emergence of new emotional and cognitive pathways and promote a more empowered, integrated experience of life.

We work with individuals experiencing the lingering effects of early trauma, including challenges with:
-
Feeling a stable sense of self or existence
-
Regulating their nervous system and self-soothing
-
Trusting relationships or forming healthy connections
-
Recognizing and expressing personal needs
-
Feeling stuck in cycles of self-judgment, shame, or guilt
-

NeuroAffective Touch® offers a clear and compassionate framework for understanding the emotional and psychological struggles rooted in early relational and developmental trauma.

Many people unknowingly adopt survival strategies that later become obstacles. This approach helps identify those patterns and reveals how disruptions at each developmental stage can hinder our ability to connect with ourselves and others—impacting relationships, choices, and overall well-being.
